Stelling Custom Bellflower Banjo curly maple neck and resonator in AUSTINVILLE, Queensland for sale

Rarely does an instrument of this quality come on to the market, but due to personal reasons I am selling my beloved 1988 Stelling Custom Bellflower 5 string Bluegrass banjo.
Geoff Stelling made this banjo for me in 1988 from a special batch of curly maple, and he had extras added to make this a custom one of a kind banjo. He added the engraved top tension hoop, flange and tailpiece, abalone truss rod cover, Keith D-tuners on G&B strings and abalone thumbscrews. There was also an engraved armrest, but that has my name stamped on it and not included with the sale.
I replaced the case a few years back with a new TKL plush lined high end case to keep it safe, which is still in excellent condition.
It had it's first dress fret 2 years back and has only been played in the studio and at home, plays better than a new one. It also has a moon bridge fitted.
This banjo has all the volume, crack, clarity and playability that you would expect from a top end banjo and it is a regrettabe sale. It has played on over 100 albums over the years both here and overseas and will be sorely missed. Stellings are well known for their loudness and this one is no exception.
